Unbroken/An Incredible Story

Check out my book list and you will find some amazing and important books.  This is one of the best.  Unbroken is the spell-binding  biography of Louie Zamperini, one of the World War II heroes to survive not only being lost at sea for over a month, but  one of the few to survive the tortuous, sub-human existence at the hands of the savage, merciless Japanese.  Laura Hillenbrand, who also wrote Seabiscuit, had me laughing one minute & in tears the next, reading her fascinating narrative of the life of Louie Zamperini.  Once you start, you will have a difficult time putting it down.  At the end, you will have a new appreciation for those who fought and died and for those who survived unbelievable torture in service to our country.  Like me, you will likely ask yourself, “What am I complaining about?”
