Jaffa Gate, Tower of David

IMG_1756Kay outside Jaffa Gate

Today was the most physically difficult day I have had in a long time.  First the stress of driving thru traffic to get to Jerusalem although it was pretty early.  Rory, from Australia, said, “Well Abraham’s people did travel  “intense” (in tents).  It was a tense drive for me, but Neal is a good & fearless driver and Rory & Johan were helping to navigate.  Then the walking through David’s Tower, ( a lot of climbing), historical sites,  and down into the tunnels of Hezekiah & the Canaanite tunnel used by David to take the city of Jerusalem.  More on that tomorrow.

Below is entrance to the Tower of David, views from the top both outside and inside the wall.  The crevice like opening was for shooting from the inside.
