“Moses said this to the people of Israel. But they wouldn’t listen to him because they were so discouraged, and their slavery was so cruel.” Exodus 6:9 (CJB)
Moses was trying to tell the Israelites that God had promised to deliver them But they were so discouraged, they wouldn’t listen. The enemy uses discouragement to prevent us from listening to the Word of God. He convinces us that everything is hopeless and nothing will ever change We are so overwhelmed with discouragement we don’t seek out the one thing that can rescue us and give us hope.
God give us eyes to see and ears to hear in the midst of overwhelming pain and discouragement.
“For I know the plans that I have for you ‘declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NAS)
